Position Overview:
As an English Translator & Localization Specialist, you will be the vital link that connects our club to the global esports scene. You will be responsible for translating and localizing a wide variety of content from Chinese to English, ensuring our messaging is accurate, culturally relevant, and engaging for an international audience. Your work will directly impact our global reputation and fan engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Content Translation & Localization:
ca88亚州城游戏* Translate and localize social media posts (Weibo, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.), official announcements, press releases, and player updates.
* Translate subtitles for video content, including vlogs, documentaries, behind-the-scenes footage, and match highlights.
* Localize Localize website content and in-house articles, ensuring cultural nuances are preserved.
* Player & Staff Support:
* Provide real-time or post-event translation for interviews involving non-Chinese speaking players, staff, or media.
* Assist with communication between Chinese and international players/coaches when necessary.
* Accompany the team to international events as needed to provide linguistic support.
* Community Engagement:
* Help manage and grow our international social media presence by creating compelling, localized content.
* Monitor and translate feedback and discussions from international communities (e.g., Reddit, Discord).
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Must-Haves:
* Native Native or near-native fluency in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
* A deep passion for and understanding of the esports industry, including knowledge of major titles (e.g., League of League of Legends, Dota 2, VALORANT, CS:GO) and their and their specific terminology.
* Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to adapt content for a Western audience.
* Highly Desired:
* Prior experience in translation, localization, or a similar role, preferably within gaming or esports.
* Familiarity with social media platforms and trends in both Eastern and Western markets.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong teamwork skills and a proactive attitude.
